At the end of this course, the practitioner will understand the classical Chinese medicine approach of some of the symptoms in Parkinson's diseases through the eyes of Zhang Zhong Jing's six syndrome diagnostic system approach. This course is focused on patient care and will also introduce various treatment approach such as scalp and body acupuncture, different moxibustion techniques and classical herbal formula fitting various case studies to bring to light the compilation of treatments needed in treating this debilitating neurological disorder.
Parkinson's disease is one of the most common degenerative neurological disease seen with very little long-term effect by western medicine. On the other hand, using a combination of classical and modern clinical treatments to treat this severe disease has shown valuable results.
This lecture will present the classical understanding of some of the most commonly seen symptoms in Parkinson's disease and then show the application of various scalp and body acupuncture, moxibustion, and classical formulas to treat the patient until symptom resolution.
